Audrey Freemont, the protagonist of One Night Stands and Lesson Plans, decides at thirty-two that it’s time for a change. Despite her hectic teaching schedule, after-school activities, summer school, and lesson planning, she feels something is missing. She sets out with grand ambitions of a whirlwind romance, only to find herself getting sidetracked by, well, everything.

As an introvert with ADHD, Audrey’s plan hilariously derails. She reorganizes her closet, binge-watches adventure fantasies, and plays with her cat, Stevie. By summer's end, instead of romantic escapades, she’s become a master of procrastination and Game of Thrones trivia. By the end of August, she's ready to cry, but sometimes, the best-laid plans lead to the funniest outcomes.

Audrey is deeply connected to music. Her dad recognized her gift early on, describing it as an eidetic memory for songs and lyrics. She can hear a song once and recall it perfectly, often connecting it to moments in her life.

As her relationship with Oz deepens, he realizes that music is Audrey's love language. To become the maestro of her melodies and heart, he must connect with Audrey through music, proving that sometimes, the key to a woman's affection is hidden on her Spotify Playlist.

One Night Stands And Lesson Plans is an homage to songs from many genres and styles. You can check Audrey's Playlist out on Spotify.
